Best Schutzhund Clubs In New Jersey!

Now that you have a better idea of what’s available near you, it’s time to find the right place for getting started in Schutzhund. The best club for you and your dog won’t only depend on your location. Your needs, goals, and preferences will also come into play.

Some organizations might also have better trainers, helpers, or members. But at the end of the day, you have to find a club where you and your dog can enjoy and learn Schutzhund training. Since there are only 5 options in New Jersey, let’s look at each one of them.

Alpha & Omega Working Dogs LLC

This dog training center offers one-on-one personalized sessions for practically anything from basic obedience to Schutzhund. They don’t talk a lot about their Schutzhund club on their website, but they have a few posts mentioning it on their Facebook Page. So you can contact them for private IPO/IGP training or to join their team.

Blitzhund Working Dog Club

I haven’t found much information about this club online. The only things I know are that they are listed on the USCA Clubs Directory and have a private Facebook Group. So you can either try to join the group or contact them by phone or email.

East Coast Schutzhund & Police Club

This club doesn’t seem to be very active online either. However, I have found the Vom Floyd Haus website, which seems to be related to them. From what I understand, it’s a breeder and club, but I’m not sure if they are still around. You can try contacting them to find out.

North Jersey Schutzhund & Police Association

Associated with the Pro Canine Center, it’s a small but great club. Their members earn an average of 40 titles per year in total, which is a lot. For more information about their club and Schutzhund training, you can go check out their Facebook Page or contact them directly.

Tri-State Working Dog Club

That’s the only Schutzhund club in New Jersey on the DVG listing. It’s an AWMA IGP Dog Training Club where all breeds are welcome. Don’t hesitate to look at their Facebook Page or contact them if you’re interested in joining their group of handlers.

OG Gartenstaat IPO

I didn’t find much information about this organization on the web. However, the USCA mentioned them in their recent activities and events. So I guess they are still around and would be happy to have new members.
